Detective Comics #864
Detective Comics #864 is on sale this week! Feels like it’s been ages since I did any covers. I’ve been producing really tight sketches lately, and for this one, I actually just enlarged it and printed in blueline. I did touch up the lettering and some figure rendering in pencil before inking, and the last minute addition of the leaves and moon really pulled it all together. That’s such a dope cover. Like that, that costume can be made scary if a person wants. In general its always so campy looking because its modernized with the cuffs and oddly shaped belt pouches but you made it look darker, great job.

I just bought this issue, and was so struck by the cover I had to look you up. I love the colors especially. The turquoise with the red, great idea.
