Lois LaneRed SonjaPhoenixJudge AndersonCaptain Jack SparrowSpeedyJakita WagnerDeath and Rex the Wonder DogI think I’ve finally recovered from the show. It was giant, it was busy; it was a lot like San Diego, really, but you’re not stuck at hotel bars and you can jaywalk freely as our founding fathers intended. I think this may have been my first big show after drawing Green Arrow & Black Canary, and it was surprising to see all the new faces at my table. So, lots of talking and not enough drawing! At the Vertigo panel, they announced I’ll be drawing the Greendale hardcover graphic novel, written by Josh Dysart and inspired by Neil Young‘s concept album of the same name (wha? Yes, THAT Neil Young). It’s a beautiful story, and I’m very proud to be part of the team. We’re going to keep the artwork under wraps for now, but I have a few ideas for goofy things to post here so it doesn’t turn into a ghost-town. Watch this space!

Hey Cliff,

It was really awesome to meet you at NYCC. You drew me a Batman headshot which looks great. Best of luck on your new project.

And thanks!

My pleasure , Keith! Signing at the DC booth is always a bit nerve-wracking for me: you can see the lines get longer and longer and you have to start sketching faster and faster. And this year’s table was the wobbliest ever. But it’s kind of a rush too and it keeps me on my toes.

Congratulations for this project ! So, Sean Gordon Murphy was replaced on GREENDALE ? We lose a good artist but we have an other one ! I’m impatient to see some art !

On superpouvoir.com, the best French site on comics (news, previews, reviews, forums, etc.), there is a thread about this awaited project : http://forum.superpouvoir.com/showthread.php?t=7964

It’s the place where Greendale graphic novel French fans will come to talk ! ^^

Take care,
Marv, a French reader.

Thanks, Marv! I love Sean’s work, but it’s my understanding that Neil wanted to go in a different direction. It’s a lot to live up to, that’s for sure… My shoulders have gotten very heavy!
