Feels like summer…

I finished Dr. Thirteen a couple weeks ago, so since then I’ve been working on getting things in order for convention season. Check the signings link on the left for more info about where I’ll be this summer.

This year, I’ll be part of the Splash Page Art sketchbook, set to debut at San Diego Comic-Con. Splash Page Art is my original art dealer, and home to many other talented artists, including Lee Bermejo, Duncan Fegredo, Marcelo Frusin, Jock, Michael Lark, John Paul Leon, Sean Phillips, Paolo Rivera, Cameron Stewart, Goran Sudzuka, and Eric Wight. We’ll be putting together a special sketchbook for the summer, featuring 3 pieces each from some of the artists in the Splash Page stable. I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy.

Here’s my contribution to the book, in pencil form. I’ll post the inks soon, but here’s a sneak peek.

Splash Page will be selling the originals in the near future, so if you like any of these pieces, be sure to contact Mark Hay at Splash Page. And if you’re at the convention, pick up a copy of the book and get it signed by me and the other guys.

Wow, these are fantastic, Cliff… love the Green Arrow and Black Canary in particular, but I also dig that you’ve picked my favorite X-Men era (mohawk Storm, Rogue, Colossus, Kitty and Lockheed… nice!)

Presumably the Splash Page sketchbook will be for sale in San Diego? Can’t wait to pick it up!

Thanks, Randy. It’s good to see you here!

Yeah, I’m pretty fond of mohawk Storm, since that’s when I started reading comics. You can’t get a better introduction to X-Men than Paul Smith…

Hope to see you at San Diego!

That’s one nice Kitty Pryde right there. And Lockheed too! Too bad I can’t go to any US conventions this year. The huge Pacific Ocean makes it too expensive for me to go there.

One of these days, you’ll make it over here, Adrian. Or maybe I’ll get over there! Until then, thank God for the internets…
